About this artwork
A stand of bamboo occupies the right side of the composition, its jointed green stalks rising straight to the top edge and dissolving into fog near the ground. Sprays of narrow leaves fan out at the top and along one side branch, catching a pale yellow light against the blue sky.
Behind the grove, low hills in sand and ochre recede in soft layers, partly hidden by drifting mist. The colour moves from deep blue overhead to warm cream in the middle and a band of terracotta along the bottom, which grounds the tall vertical lines. This bamboo wall art has a steady, measured rhythm: repeated stalks, generous empty space and a single direction of growth. It feels fresh and orderly, a good counterweight to busy shelving or a cluttered desk.
About Bamboo
Bamboo is a giant grass rather than a tree, and some species are among the fastest-growing plants on Earth. In Japan it is used for everything from tea whisks and fences to flutes and garden water features. Together with pine and plum it forms the Three Friends of Winter, a trio admired in East Asian art for enduring the cold. The bamboo grove at Arashiyama in Kyoto is one of the country's best-known walks.
How to style it
Suits home offices, living rooms and spa-style bathrooms with natural wood, linen and plants. Pairs well with the winter bamboo or tea hills designs for a green, botanical grouping. Explore the full Japandi Wall Art collection.

Questions & answers
What does bamboo symbolise in Japanese culture?
Bamboo symbolises resilience, flexibility and integrity. Because it bends in the wind without breaking and grows straight and fast, it has long represented strength combined with humility in Japanese and wider East Asian art.
Will this bamboo print suit a home office?
Yes. The strong vertical lines and fresh green colour feel focused and calm, which makes it a good backdrop for a desk or video calls without being distracting.
Is a frame included?
Only if you choose a framed format. The Natural Wood Frame and Black Metal Frame options arrive assembled with acrylic glazing and are ready to hang. The Unframed Art Print arrives without a frame, and the Aluminium and Wood Prints need no frame at all.
Which size should I choose?
As a rule of thumb, choose art about two-thirds the width of the furniture beneath it. 50 × 70 cm makes a statement above a sofa or bed, 30 × 40 cm suits shelves, desks and gallery walls. Our size guide shows every size to scale.
How is my print made and shipped?
Each print is made to order for you, then shipped with tracking from a production partner close to your address. You receive the tracking link by email as soon as your order leaves production.
