The dark stone of a Brooklyn Bridge tower frames the whole design, its twin pointed arches acting like windows onto Manhattan. In the left arch the Empire State Building rises in gold and blue; in the right, the Chrysler Building's terraced spire stands against a setting sun. Suspension cables slant down across both openings.
Below, the East River glitters gold, and the lit windows of lower buildings add touches of orange, cyan and magenta. Mist drifts along the promenade, where a single walker heads towards the city, seen from behind and long-shadowed on the wet boards. A vintage lamp glows on the far left. This New York night print captures the hour when the skyline turns from silhouette to lights, grand yet personal. 'New York' is set across the walkway in an elegant serif, with 'United States' in small capitals below.
About Brooklyn Bridge at Night
The Brooklyn Bridge's raised pedestrian promenade runs above the traffic between its two stone towers, and at night it becomes one of the classic ways to see Manhattan lit up. The Empire State Building's tower lights change colour for holidays and causes, while the Chrysler Building's terraced crown glows above Midtown. On the Brooklyn side, the waterfront of DUMBO and Brooklyn Bridge Park looks straight back at the illuminated skyline.

Is there a person on the bridge in the New York print?
Yes, one walker is seen from behind on the promenade, heading towards Manhattan. The figure is a small silhouette that adds scale and the feeling of a late walk home.
Is a frame included?
