About this artwork
The Burj Khalifa dominates this tall, slender composition, its stepped glass tower glowing gold from base to spire. The low sun sits just to its left, casting a pale halo, while the sky shifts from turquoise at the top to cream near the horizon. Banks of pink cloud roll behind the tower, and beyond the city's edge the desert rises in soft dunes of apricot and rose.
In the foreground, a long reflecting pool runs between stone edges, its water catching pink, gold and teal. Palm trees stand on either side, adding a touch of oasis calm to the vertical drama. The brushwork is light and graphic, with crisp ink lines. This Dubai wall art pairs modern architecture with desert warmth; its lettering spells Dubai in a soft italic serif, with UAE in small capitals below.
About the Burj Khalifa
When the Burj Khalifa opened in Downtown Dubai in January 2010, it became the world's tallest building, rising about 828 metres. It was designed by Adrian Smith while at the firm Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, and its Y-shaped plan was inspired in part by the desert flower Hymenocallis. The tower steps back in a spiral of setbacks as it climbs, and observation decks on the upper floors look out over the city, the coast and the desert. The Dubai Fountain plays in the lake at its foot.

Questions & answers
How tall is the Burj Khalifa?
About 828 metres. It became the world's tallest building when it opened in Downtown Dubai in January 2010, and its spire is the slender gold point at the very top of this print.
Does the print show the desert around Dubai?
Yes, as an artistic backdrop. Soft dunes in apricot and rose rise behind the tower, combined with palm trees and a reflecting pool in the foreground to give the design a desert-oasis feel.
Is a frame included?
Only if you choose a framed format. The Natural Wood Frame and Black Metal Frame options arrive assembled with acrylic glazing and are ready to hang. The Unframed Art Print arrives without a frame, and the Aluminium and Wood Prints need no frame at all.
Which size should I choose?
As a rule of thumb, choose art about two-thirds the width of the furniture beneath it. 50 × 70 cm makes a statement above a sofa or bed, 30 × 40 cm suits shelves, desks and gallery walls. Our size guide shows every size to scale.
