About this artwork
This design layers several scales of the universe in one frame. A banded, ringed planet in cream and caramel hangs at the centre, its rings swept wide in a gentle tilt. Above and behind it, a spiral galaxy spins in the upper left corner, its bright core and dusty arms rendered in pearl and blue, while a second band of starlight — the Milky Way — streams down from the top right.
Warm gold stars, a few with long rays, are scattered across the indigo. The lower third rolls with cloud in gold-leaf texture, teal and dusty rose that gives the planet something to float above. The mix of near and far makes this cosmos wall art feel like a window into deep space, a wide-angle view that invites the eye to wander from planet to galaxy and back again.

Planets and galaxies are separated by staggering distances. Sunlight takes about eight minutes to reach Earth and well over an hour to reach Saturn, the best-known ringed planet. Light from the nearest large spiral galaxy, Andromeda, has been travelling for about 2.5 million years. Which planet is shown in this design?
The ringed planet is a Saturn-like world rather than a precise portrait, chosen because rings are the most iconic planetary shape. It sits within an imagined deep-space scene alongside a spiral galaxy and the Milky Way.
Could you see a galaxy and a planet together like this?
Not at these sizes. You can spot Saturn and the Andromeda Galaxy in the same night sky, but Saturn appears as a bright point and Andromeda as a faint smudge. The design enlarges both into one poetic view to suggest the vast scale of the cosmos.
Is a frame included?
Only if you choose a framed format. The Natural Wood Frame and Black Metal Frame options arrive assembled with acrylic glazing and are ready to hang. The Unframed Art Print arrives without a frame, and the Aluminium and Wood Prints need no frame at all.
Which size should I choose?
As a rule of thumb, choose art about two-thirds the width of the furniture beneath it. 50 × 70 cm makes a statement above a sofa or bed, 30 × 40 cm suits shelves, desks and gallery walls. Our size guide shows every size to scale.
