About this artwork
In this design the clouds take centre stage. A great nebula surges up from the bottom of the frame, filling well over half of the composition with rolling forms in gold-leaf texture, deep teal, sea green, dusty rose and plum. Their edges glint with gold flecks, and pockets of shadow give them weight and volume.
Above, the sky opens into deep indigo with a soft, dusty band of the Milky Way crossing the upper right and a few bright stars glowing warm gold. It feels like looking into a stellar nursery, where gas and dust gather and new stars ignite. About Nebulae
A nebula, from the Latin for mist or cloud, is a vast cloud of gas and dust in space. Some are stellar nurseries, where gravity pulls material together until new stars ignite; others are the glowing remains of dying stars. The best-known nursery is the Orion Nebula, visible to the naked eye as a fuzzy patch in the sword of Orion, about 1,300 light-years away. Glowing hydrogen tends to shine red or pink, while dust reflecting starlight often appears blue.

Is this the Orion Nebula?
It is inspired by star-forming nebulae such as the Orion Nebula rather than an exact depiction of one. The clouds are interpreted freely in gold, teal and rose, so the design reads as an atmospheric impression of a stellar nursery.
What colours are in this nebula print?
The main colours are deep indigo and navy, with clouds in gold, teal, sea green, dusty rose and plum. Small gold stars and gold flecks link it to its sister designs in the collection.
Is a frame included?
Only if you choose a framed format. The Natural Wood Frame and Black Metal Frame options arrive assembled with acrylic glazing and are ready to hang. The Unframed Art Print arrives without a frame, and the Aluminium and Wood Prints need no frame at all.
Which size should I choose?
