About this artwork
Gaudí's basilica fills the frame, its spires climbing into a deep, textured cobalt sky. Near their tips they turn almost black, with a construction crane rising between them, while the lower facade bursts into light: tall pointed windows glow amber and rose, and the portals shine as if lit from within. A wisp of cloud catches on the towers.
On the left a tall palm stands in silhouette, its fronds cutting across the stonework. City blocks and a glowing billboard sit low at the edge, and the wet plaza scatters gold, magenta and blue reflections. Gothic drama meets Mediterranean ease in this Barcelona night print, more contemplative than gloomy. Across the reflections, the city name appears in a graceful italic serif, with 'Spain' in small spaced capitals below a thin line.
About the Sagrada Família at Night
Antoni Gaudí's Sagrada Família, in Barcelona's Eixample district, has been under construction for well over a century, so cranes have long been part of its silhouette. After dark its facades are lit, and since December 2021 an illuminated twelve-pointed star has crowned the Tower of the Virgin Mary, visible across the city. Two small parks flank the basilica, and from Plaça de Gaudí the pond mirrors the lit Nativity facade, a favourite evening view.
How to style it
Give it a wall of its own in a hallway, stairwell or living room, where its height and glowing base draw the eye. It pairs well with the collection's other great churches, such as Milan's Duomo or the Týn spires of Prague. Explore the full Cities at Night collection.

Questions & answers
Why is there a crane in the Sagrada Família print?
Because the basilica has been under construction for generations, a crane has long been part of its real skyline. Including one between the spires keeps the scene true to the building as visitors know it.
Does the Barcelona print suit a dark-walled room?
Yes. The deep cobalt sky and amber glow sit well against charcoal, navy or forest-green walls, where the lit portals seem to shine out of the frame.
Is a frame included?
Only if you choose a framed format. The Natural Wood Frame and Black Metal Frame options arrive assembled with acrylic glazing and are ready to hang. The Unframed Art Print arrives without a frame, and the Aluminium and Wood Prints need no frame at all.
Which size should I choose?
As a rule of thumb, choose art about two-thirds the width of the furniture beneath it. 50 × 70 cm makes a statement above a sofa or bed, 30 × 40 cm suits shelves, desks and gallery walls. Our size guide shows every size to scale.
How is my print made and shipped?
