About this artwork
A lone figure stands at the top of a wet hillside road, looking down over one of the world's great skylines. Towers cascade towards Victoria Harbour, their edges traced in magenta and cyan neon, and the tallest rises in pale light near the centre. Across the water, Kowloon glitters beneath a line of dark hills.
The detail rewards a closer look. On the right, a residential block is stacked with glowing balconies and neon bands; on the left, dark foliage frames the scene. Mist pours between the buildings, and on the blue harbour a single red-sailed junk catches the eye. There is a cinematic, slightly cyberpunk mood to this Hong Kong night print, but the deep blue sky keeps it calm rather than frantic. Along the road, 'Hong Kong' is written in a graceful italic serif, with 'China' in small spaced capitals below.
Hong Kong After Dark
Victoria Peak, the highest hill on Hong Kong Island, offers the city's best-known night view: towers stacked down to Victoria Harbour and the lights of Kowloon on the far shore. Each evening the harbourfront buildings join in A Symphony of Lights, a synchronised light-and-music show. Below, the Star Ferry still shuttles across the water as it has since the 19th century, and the neon-lit streets of Mong Kok and the Temple Street Night Market keep going late.

Questions & answers
Who is the figure in the Hong Kong print?
An anonymous silhouette, not a portrait. Standing alone at the top of the road, the figure gives the vast skyline a human scale and invites you to step into the view.
Is the red boat a traditional Hong Kong junk?
Yes, it is drawn after the red-sailed junks that still cruise Victoria Harbour, one of the most recognisable sights on the city's water.
Is a frame included?
Only if you choose a framed format. The Natural Wood Frame and Black Metal Frame options arrive assembled with acrylic glazing and are ready to hang. The Unframed Art Print arrives without a frame, and the Aluminium and Wood Prints need no frame at all.
Which size should I choose?
As a rule of thumb, choose art about two-thirds the width of the furniture beneath it. 50 × 70 cm makes a statement above a sofa or bed, 30 × 40 cm suits shelves, desks and gallery walls. Our size guide shows every size to scale.
How is my print made and shipped?
Each print is made to order for you, then shipped with tracking from a production partner close to your address. You receive the tracking link by email as soon as your order leaves production.
