Flamingo Lagoon at Sunset — Tropical Jungle Art Print

About this artwork

Two pink flamingos stand in the middle of a still turquoise lagoon, turned toward each other so that their curving necks meet in the shape of a heart. Below them the water repeats the pose, a softer upside-down reflection that completes a second heart. Rings of ripples spread from their thin legs, and a path of gold light runs down the water from the sun.

That sun sits low over the far shore, a swirl of yellow and orange in a pink sky, above a band of pale pebbles and small blossoms. On either side the lagoon is enclosed by monstera leaves, palm fronds, coral hibiscus and orange bird of paradise flowers, so the scene feels like a hidden clearing. Designed by ITCLabStudio, this flamingo wall art pairs thick, impasto-style strokes with a naive folk-art charm, and the mood is tender and sunny rather than busy.

About Flamingos

Flamingos are wading birds found in parts of the Americas, Africa, southern Europe and Asia. Their pink colour comes from carotenoid pigments in the algae and small crustaceans they eat, which is why chicks start out grey and only turn pink over time. They feed with their heads upside down, filtering food through their bills, and live in large colonies where groups perform synchronised courtship displays. The American flamingo is a familiar sight around the Caribbean.

How to style it

Lovely in a bedroom, bathroom or entryway with blush, white or turquoise accents, and a sweet gift for couples. Hang it beside the waterfall design for a pair of tropical water scenes. Explore the full Tropical Jungle Wall Art collection.
