Coral Bloom — Fluid Gold Abstract Art Print

About this artwork

A single bloom opens from the centre of the frame and fills it almost to the edges. Broad, rounded petals of warm coral radiate outward, each packed with saffron-yellow cells that look domed and glossy, some ringed like tiny targets. At the heart sits a glowing amber knot, rendered as if the colour had just been poured and was still spreading.

Thin gold-toned lines outline every petal and trace the ripples inside them, while the gaps between the petals and the outer corners fall into hot magenta and deep teal. That cool, dark edge is what makes the warm centre glow. The symmetry gives the design a calm, almost mandala-like order, yet the petals stay soft and organic rather than geometric. This coral abstract art print brings a sunny warmth to a room, with a nod to the flower-power colours of the late 1960s and 1970s. It is the most cheerful design in the collection.

About Marbling

Marbling is the old craft of floating colour on a thickened bath of water, combing or drawing it into patterns, then laying a sheet of paper on the surface to lift the design. Japanese suminagashi, meaning floating ink, and Turkish ebru are two of its best-known traditions, and ebru is recognised by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage. Ebru artists even draw flowers such as tulips and carnations into the floating colour, a spirit this digital bloom borrows.

How to style it

Hang it in a kitchen, breakfast nook, bedroom or sunny living room with white, cream or terracotta walls. It balances the cooler blue and teal designs in the collection, or doubles the warmth beside the pink cascade. Explore the full Fluid Gold Abstract Art collection.
