About this artwork
A large golden wheel dominates the centre, hung from a small ornamental loop like an antique medallion. At its hub, a radiant sun with a calm face blazes outward. Around it runs a ring of astrological glyphs, and beyond that an outer ring of twelve panels filled with gilded figures — a maiden, lions, rearing horses, a crab-like creature and paired figures — some glowing like lamplight.
The wheel floats against a deep starry sky with the Milky Way above and a large, glowing gold star in the upper left. Teal cloud swirls at the bottom left and vivid pink at the bottom right, where a few small teal jewels catch the light. This zodiac wheel wall art is richly detailed and decorative, a celebration of the old tradition of mapping the heavens in symbols, whatever your own view of astrology.
About the Zodiac
The zodiac is a band of sky centred on the ecliptic, the Sun's apparent yearly path against the stars. Babylonian astronomers divided it into twelve equal parts in the first millennium BCE, naming each after a nearby constellation, and the system passed into Greek and later European tradition. Because Earth's axis slowly wobbles, the signs no longer line up with their constellations. Astrology gives each sign a character; this is a cultural tradition, and there is no scientific evidence that the signs shape personality or events.

Questions & answers
Is this zodiac wheel an accurate astrological chart?
It is a decorative design rather than a working chart. The wheel combines astrological glyphs, gilded zodiac-style figures and a sun face in the spirit of antique almanacs, so it is best enjoyed as symbolic art rather than read like a horoscope.
Is this a good gift for someone who loves astrology?
Yes. It shows the whole wheel rather than a single sign, so it suits anyone interested in the zodiac whatever their birthday. Its ornate gold detail also appeals to fans of vintage and celestial decor.
Is a frame included?
Only if you choose a framed format. The Natural Wood Frame and Black Metal Frame options arrive assembled with acrylic glazing and are ready to hang. The Unframed Art Print arrives without a frame, and the Aluminium and Wood Prints need no frame at all.
Which size should I choose?
As a rule of thumb, choose art about two-thirds the width of the furniture beneath it. 50 × 70 cm makes a statement above a sofa or bed, 30 × 40 cm suits shelves, desks and gallery walls. Our size guide shows every size to scale.
How is my print made and shipped?
Each print is made to order for you, then shipped with tracking from a production partner close to your address. You receive the tracking link by email as soon as your order leaves production.
