Meteor Shower over the Lake — Anime Sky Art Print

About this artwork

Two young people sit side by side at the end of a wooden jetty, seen from behind: one with short dark hair and a backpack, the other with long brown hair falling down her back. Their hands rest on the planks, almost touching. In front of them a still lake reflects everything above, ringed by dark pine forest and a line of blue mountains glowing faintly at the horizon.

The sky is the real subject. A broad, glittering band of violet, blue and aqua light sweeps diagonally through the stars like a stylised Milky Way, while bright meteors streak down from the upper right, each trailing a thin tail of lilac light. Pink-tinged clouds drift low over the treeline, and the whole display is mirrored in the water. This meteor shower anime print balances deep navy darkness with jewel-bright colour, giving it a mood of quiet wonder rather than drama.

Watching a Meteor Shower

Meteor showers are best enjoyed with the naked eye, no telescope needed. A dark spot away from street lights, such as a lakeside or a mountain clearing, shows far more meteors than a town, and a bright moon can wash out the fainter ones. Give your eyes around twenty to thirty minutes to adjust to the dark, then lie back and take in as much of the sky as you can. Rates are usually higher after midnight, when your side of Earth faces forward in its orbit.

How to style it

Perfect for a bedroom, dorm room or cosy reading corner with deep blue, plum or charcoal walls. Hang it beside the rooftop dusk design to follow the sky from sunset into a starry night. Explore the full Anime Sky Art collection.
