About this artwork
A cherry branch reaches in from the left edge, its clusters of pink blossom and dark twigs leading the eye across the frame toward Mount Fuji. The mountain sits in the middle distance, its snow cap drawn in crisp white streaks over blue-green flanks, with a soft roll of cloud at its foot. Below, a terracotta shoreline gives way to a pale, quiet expanse of water.
A few loose petals drift through the sky, which fades from teal and blue down to warm gold behind the peak. The palette stays light and airy: blush pink, cream, sage and indigo, with fine paper texture keeping the colour from feeling flat. This Mount Fuji cherry blossom print captures the brief, hopeful feeling of early spring, when blossom and snow share the same view.
Cherry Blossom Season in Japan
Hanami, the custom of gathering to admire blossoms, has been part of Japanese life for more than a thousand years, and by the Heian period the cherry had become its focus. Each spring, Japanese weather services follow the sakura zensen, the cherry blossom front, as flowering moves north through the country. Views that pair blossom with a snow-capped Mount Fuji are a classic spring sight around the Fuji Five Lakes.

Questions & answers
What season does this print show?
It shows early spring. Cherry blossom is in full bloom in the foreground while snow still covers the summit of Mount Fuji, a pairing that defines the start of the season in Japan.
Does the soft pink palette suit a nursery?
Yes. The blush pink blossom, cream foreground and gentle blue sky create a light, soothing scene without strong contrast, which makes it a natural choice for nurseries, children's rooms and calm guest bedrooms.
Is a frame included?
Only if you choose a framed format. The Natural Wood Frame and Black Metal Frame options arrive assembled with acrylic glazing and are ready to hang. The Unframed Art Print arrives without a frame, and the Aluminium and Wood Prints need no frame at all.
Which size should I choose?
As a rule of thumb, choose art about two-thirds the width of the furniture beneath it. 50 × 70 cm makes a statement above a sofa or bed, 30 × 40 cm suits shelves, desks and gallery walls. Our size guide shows every size to scale.
How is my print made and shipped?
Each print is made to order for you, then shipped with tracking from a production partner close to your address. You receive the tracking link by email as soon as your order leaves production.
