About this artwork
The Old Town Hall tower takes centre stage, its stone glowing honey-gold, with a clock near the top and the famous astronomical clock below, its two great dials picked out in gold, blue and red. Behind it, the pointed Gothic spires of Týn Church rise in rosy pink, while the sun sinks low on the left behind a row of gabled houses.
Coral clouds billow across a turquoise sky. On either side, colourful buildings in magenta, teal and cream frame the square, with a café umbrella just visible on the right. The cobblestones in front are wet with reflected colour. This Prague wall art feels like a page from a storybook. Prague is spelled out in a classic serif over the cobbles, with Czechia printed in small capitals beneath.
About Old Town Square
Old Town Square (Staroměstské náměstí) has been the heart of Prague since the Middle Ages, when it served as the city's central marketplace. On the Old Town Hall tower is the Prague astronomical clock, or Orloj, first installed in 1410 and one of the oldest astronomical clocks still working. On the hour, figures of the Apostles appear in small windows above its dials. Across the square, the twin Gothic towers of the Church of Our Lady before Týn rise over the rooftops. The historic centre of Prague is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Questions & answers
How old is the Prague astronomical clock?
It was first installed in 1410, making it one of the oldest astronomical clocks in the world that still works. In the print it is the ornate pair of dials on the lower part of the Old Town Hall tower.
Is the Prague design suitable for a child's room?
Yes. The storybook towers, turquoise sky and bright pink, coral and teal palette make it cheerful and approachable, and it works just as well in a family hallway or a colourful living room.
Is a frame included?
Only if you choose a framed format. The Natural Wood Frame and Black Metal Frame options arrive assembled with acrylic glazing and are ready to hang. The Unframed Art Print arrives without a frame, and the Aluminium and Wood Prints need no frame at all.
Which size should I choose?
As a rule of thumb, choose art about two-thirds the width of the furniture beneath it. 50 × 70 cm makes a statement above a sofa or bed, 30 × 40 cm suits shelves, desks and gallery walls. Our size guide shows every size to scale.
How is my print made and shipped?
Each print is made to order for you, then shipped with tracking from a production partner close to your address. You receive the tracking link by email as soon as your order leaves production.
