About this artwork
A single stone arch spans the river in this stone bridge art print, its parapet lined with old lamps whose halos glow in the dark. Look through the arch and another lamplit bridge appears further downstream, strung with a row of tiny lights. The arch and its reflection meet in the still water to form an almost complete ring, the quiet centrepiece of the composition.
On the left, a tree in scarlet and orange leans over the bank, backed by more autumn foliage warmed by the lamps. On the right, tall pale townhouses with chimneys and yellow windows rise above an iron railing. The sky is deep cobalt, scattered with violet strokes and a small crescent moon. Below the bridge the river carries everything at once: columns of gold lamplight, splashes of magenta and a cool blue core, laid down in short, thick knife marks.
About Stone Arch Bridges
A stone arch bridge stands up through compression. Wedge-shaped stones called voussoirs press against one another, and the central keystone locks the curve in place, while the load is pushed outward and down into solid supports at each end called abutments. Because stone is strong in compression, well-built arches can last for centuries; several bridges from Roman times are still in use. When the water below is calm, a rounded arch and its reflection can close into a full circle.
How to style it

Questions & answers
Is the stone bridge a real landmark?
No. The bridge, river and townhouses are imagined, drawn from the character of old European river towns rather than one particular city. It gives you the mood of an evening riverside walk without tying the print to a specific location.
Is the river bridge print very dark?
It is a night scene, but a bright one. Deep blue sky and water are lit by dozens of golden lamps, glowing windows and orange leaves, so on the wall it reads as rich and luminous rather than gloomy.
Is a frame included?
Only if you choose a framed format. The Natural Wood Frame and Black Metal Frame options arrive assembled with acrylic glazing and are ready to hang. The Unframed Art Print arrives without a frame, and the Aluminium and Wood Prints need no frame at all.
Which size should I choose?
