About this artwork
Symmetry drives this design. The Petronas Twin Towers rise side by side, their faceted glass rendered in teal and silver and edged with gold where the light catches. Between them the sun sits perfectly framed, just above the skybridge with its angled supports. The sky behind burns coral, rose and orange, with brushy clouds fanning outward.
Tall palms lean in from both sides, and below them the lush gardens of KLCC Park fill the middle ground. A fountain sends up a plume of mist from a reflecting pool, whose water breaks into teal, magenta and gold. This Kuala Lumpur wall art turns a famous skyline into something warm and tropical. At the foot of the design, Kuala Lumpur is spelled out in a broad italic serif, Malaysia in small capitals beneath.
About the Petronas Twin Towers
Designed by the architect César Pelli and completed in 1998, the Petronas Twin Towers were the tallest buildings in the world until 2004. Each 88-storey tower is built on a floor plan based on an eight-pointed star, a motif drawn from Islamic geometric design. At the 41st and 42nd floors, a double-decker skybridge links the two. They stand in the Kuala Lumpur City Centre district, overlooking KLCC Park, whose lake and fountains are a popular place to watch the towers in the evening light.

Questions & answers
What links the two Petronas Towers?
A double-decker skybridge at the 41st and 42nd floors. In the print it appears as the horizontal bridge between the towers, with angled supports beneath, and the setting sun sits just above it.
Which interiors suit the Kuala Lumpur print?
Modern and tropical interiors in particular. The teal glass, coral sky and green palms work with dark wood, rattan, leafy plants and warm metallic accents, and the vertical symmetry looks strong above a sofa or desk.
Is a frame included?
Only if you choose a framed format. The Natural Wood Frame and Black Metal Frame options arrive assembled with acrylic glazing and are ready to hang. The Unframed Art Print arrives without a frame, and the Aluminium and Wood Prints need no frame at all.
Which size should I choose?
As a rule of thumb, choose art about two-thirds the width of the furniture beneath it. 50 × 70 cm makes a statement above a sofa or bed, 30 × 40 cm suits shelves, desks and gallery walls. Our size guide shows every size to scale.
How is my print made and shipped?
Each print is made to order for you, then shipped with tracking from a production partner close to your address. You receive the tracking link by email as soon as your order leaves production.
