About this artwork
A blazing golden sun anchors the upper right corner, its rays flaring like a medallion. From it, fine gilded orbit lines sweep out across the sky in wide ellipses, and along them travels a curving procession of planets — tiny worlds close to the sun, then a ringed planet, banded giants and blue and terracotta spheres arcing back across the frame.
Behind the orbits, the Milky Way cuts diagonally through a dense, star-filled indigo sky. The bottom corners bloom with vivid cloud: teal with gold-leaf edges on the left, bright pink flecked with gold on the right. The effect is part celestial chart, part dream. This solar system wall art is decorative rather than to scale, so it captures the feeling of the planets in motion instead of their precise distances — ideal for curious minds of every age.
About the Solar System
The Solar System formed about 4.6 billion years ago from a collapsing cloud of gas and dust. The Sun holds roughly 99.8 percent of its mass. Eight planets orbit it: the rocky inner worlds Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars, and the giant outer planets Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. Beyond them lie the Kuiper Belt and countless icy bodies. Pluto was reclassified as a dwarf planet by the International Astronomical Union in 2006.

Questions & answers
Is the solar system shown to scale?
No. Real planetary distances are so vast that a scale chart would leave the planets as invisible specks. This design arranges the sun, orbits and planets for beauty and readability, while keeping the familiar sense of worlds circling a central star.
Is this a good gift for a child interested in space?
Yes. It is colourful and easy to read at a glance, yet detailed and refined enough to stay on the wall as they grow. Spotting the ringed planet and the giants makes a nice conversation starter about the real solar system.
Is a frame included?
Only if you choose a framed format. The Natural Wood Frame and Black Metal Frame options arrive assembled with acrylic glazing and are ready to hang. The Unframed Art Print arrives without a frame, and the Aluminium and Wood Prints need no frame at all.
Which size should I choose?
As a rule of thumb, choose art about two-thirds the width of the furniture beneath it. 50 × 70 cm makes a statement above a sofa or bed, 30 × 40 cm suits shelves, desks and gallery walls. Our size guide shows every size to scale.
How is my print made and shipped?
Each print is made to order for you, then shipped with tracking from a production partner close to your address. You receive the tracking link by email as soon as your order leaves production.
