About this artwork
One great spiral fills the frame, coiling inward from the edges to a tight knot near the centre. Its arms are laid down in alternating bands of bright turquoise and deep, inky teal, so the whole image seems to turn slowly as you look at it. Smaller eddies curl away into the corners, and the dark teal ground is scattered with tiny, glossy-looking droplets.
Colour arrives in strings rather than blocks. Chains of saffron-yellow and coral cells follow each spiral arm like beads on a thread, with thin ribbons of magenta weaving between them and fine gold-toned lines tracing the curves. The details are lively, yet the overall mood stays calm, because teal does most of the work. This teal abstract art print suits rooms where you want a cool palette with a spark of warmth, and its marbled, poured look gives a plain wall real depth.
About the Colour Teal
Teal takes its name from the common teal, a small dabbling duck whose males carry a stripe of similar blue-green colour on the head. The shade sits between blue and green, which is why it can feel cool and soothing while still looking rich. Designers often pair it with warm partners such as coral, mustard and brass. This print uses exactly that contrast, setting saffron, coral and gold-toned accents against a deep teal ground.
How to style it
Lovely in a bathroom, bedroom or living room with white, sand or warm grey walls. Pair it with the blue wave design for a cool, watery duo, or with the coral flower design for a warm-and-cool contrast. Explore the full Fluid Gold Abstract Art collection.

Questions & answers
What colour walls suit teal abstract art?
Warm white, sand, blush and soft grey walls let the teal glow, while charcoal or deep green walls make the coral and saffron accents stand out more. A natural wood frame warms the look; a black metal frame makes it crisper.
Is the spiral too busy for a bedroom?
Not usually. The detail is fine and the dominant colour is a restful teal, so from a distance the print reads as one calm, turning shape. Hang it above a bed or dresser with some clear wall around it.
Is a frame included?
Only if you choose a framed format. The Natural Wood Frame and Black Metal Frame options arrive assembled with acrylic glazing and are ready to hang. The Unframed Art Print arrives without a frame, and the Aluminium and Wood Prints need no frame at all.
Which size should I choose?
As a rule of thumb, choose art about two-thirds the width of the furniture beneath it. 50 × 70 cm makes a statement above a sofa or bed, 30 × 40 cm suits shelves, desks and gallery walls. Our size guide shows every size to scale.
How is my print made and shipped?
