Hummingbird and Hibiscus — Tropical Jungle Art Print

About this artwork

An emerald hummingbird hangs in the air just left of centre, wings spread wide in dark chocolate brown, its long needle-like bill pointing to the right. Tiny scale-like strokes of green and turquoise make its feathers shimmer, and a small white patch shows beneath its body. Directly below it opens a giant hibiscus in rose, coral and peach, its long red stamen rising up toward the bird.

A sunset sky of pink, orange and cream glows through a narrow opening in the leaves behind the bird's head. Around it, monstera in emerald, teal and lime fills every gap, with smaller hibiscus blooms on the left and lower right and orange bird of paradise flowers at the upper right and lower left. Built from dense impasto-style strokes in a naive folk-art style, this hummingbird art print is original digital artwork by ITCLabStudio that captures one quick, bright moment held perfectly still.

About Hummingbirds

Hummingbirds live only in the Americas, from Alaska to the southern tip of South America, with the greatest variety in the tropics. They can hover in place and even fly backwards, beating their wings so quickly that they make the humming sound behind their name. Much of their glittering colour is structural: microscopic features in the feathers bend light rather than relying on pigment alone. The smallest bird in the world, the bee hummingbird, lives in Cuba.

How to style it

Suits bedrooms, home studios and garden rooms in boho or maximalist schemes, especially with pink or green accents. It completes a set with the macaw and toucan designs. Explore the full Tropical Jungle Wall Art collection.
