About this artwork
A tiger lies in the heart of the jungle and looks straight out of the picture with steady golden eyes. Its face is the brightest point in the composition: white cheeks and brows, long fine whiskers and a pink nose, all set within bold black stripes on vivid orange fur. One front leg stretches forward across the lower centre, giving the pose a relaxed, unhurried feel, more watchful than fierce.
Giant monstera leaves and feathery palm fronds press in from every side, their split shapes formed from thick ridges of emerald, lime and forest green. Pink hibiscus flowers glow on both sides, bird of paradise blooms flare orange and blue, and at the top an amber sunset sky shows through a gap in the canopy. As tiger wall art goes, this original ITCLabStudio design leans toward calm rather than menace, its impasto-style brushwork and naive folk-art style balancing power with warmth.
About the Tiger
The tiger (Panthera tigris) is the largest of the big cats and is native to Asia, from the forests of India and Southeast Asia to the Russian Far East. Every tiger's stripe pattern is unique, much like a fingerprint. Unlike many cats, tigers are strong swimmers and often cool off in water. The species is listed as Endangered. Tigers peering out of imaginary jungles also have a long history in naive art, most famously Henri Rousseau's Surprised! of 1891.

Questions & answers
Is the tiger print too fierce for a living room?
Not at all. The tiger is shown resting with a calm, direct gaze rather than snarling or hunting, so the print feels watchful and serene. Pink flowers and a soft sunset glow balance the bold orange and black stripes.
What colours are in the tiger print?
Vivid orange, black and white in the tiger, surrounded by emerald, lime and forest-green leaves. Pink hibiscus, orange and blue bird of paradise flowers and an amber sky add warmth, so it sits well with dark green, navy, charcoal or warm neutral walls.
Is a frame included?
Only if you choose a framed format. The Natural Wood Frame and Black Metal Frame options arrive assembled with acrylic glazing and are ready to hang. The Unframed Art Print arrives without a frame, and the Aluminium and Wood Prints need no frame at all.
Which size should I choose?
As a rule of thumb, choose art about two-thirds the width of the furniture beneath it. 50 × 70 cm makes a statement above a sofa or bed, 30 × 40 cm suits shelves, desks and gallery walls. Our size guide shows every size to scale.
How is my print made and shipped?
Each print is made to order for you, then shipped with tracking from a production partner close to your address. You receive the tracking link by email as soon as your order leaves production.
