About this artwork

Hong Kong Island's waterfront fills the middle of this print, a dense wall of towers in amber, rose and steel blue. The tallest of them rises straight up the centre, while an angular, crisscross-patterned tower stands out on the left. Behind the skyline, the green slopes of Victoria Peak climb into a sky of butter yellow, scattered with coral and pink clouds.

A small observation wheel sits on the harbourfront, and the water below is a mix of jade, turquoise and molten gold. Bottom right, a traditional junk with red sails crosses the harbour, the single strongest accent in the scene. Palm fronds in the corner frame the view as if from the Kowloon side. This Hong Kong wall art is bright and busy in the best way, signed off with the city name in a serif italic and China in small capitals beneath.

About Victoria Harbour

Victoria Harbour separates Hong Kong Island from the Kowloon Peninsula and is one of the world's great natural deep-water harbours. Its trade built Hong Kong's fortune, and today its shores hold one of the densest skylines on earth. The Star Ferry has carried passengers across since the late 19th century. Rising behind the island's towers is Victoria Peak, the highest point on Hong Kong Island, served by the Peak Tram since 1888. Red-sailed junks still cruise the harbour for visitors.

How to style it

Brings energy to a living room, a home office or a meeting room, especially alongside warm wood and brass. With the Singapore and Taipei designs, it becomes part of a three-city Asian skyline series. Explore the full Golden Hour Cities collection.

Questions & answers

Is this view from Victoria Peak?

No — it looks across Victoria Harbour towards Hong Kong Island, with the Peak rising behind the towers. The palm leaves in the lower corner suggest the Kowloon waterfront, the classic vantage point for the island skyline.

What is the red-sailed boat in the harbour?

It is a traditional Chinese junk, a sailing vessel with distinctive battened sails. A few red-sailed junks still cruise Victoria Harbour for visitors, and here one adds a single bold accent of colour against the jade water.

Is a frame included?

Only if you choose a framed format. The Natural Wood Frame and Black Metal Frame options arrive assembled with acrylic glazing and are ready to hang. The Unframed Art Print arrives without a frame, and the Aluminium and Wood Prints need no frame at all.

Which size should I choose?

As a rule of thumb, choose art about two-thirds the width of the furniture beneath it. 50 × 70 cm makes a statement above a sofa or bed, 30 × 40 cm suits shelves, desks and gallery walls. Our size guide shows every size to scale.

How is my print made and shipped?

Each print is made to order for you, then shipped with tracking from a production partner close to your address. You receive the tracking link by email as soon as your order leaves production.
