About this artwork
A young fawn lies folded in a tuft of soft green grass, front legs tucked beneath it and small black hooves peeking out. It has turned its head towards the viewer, and its big, dark, glossy eyes give it a wide-awake, trusting expression. Two large ears, pink inside and edged with dusty blue, frame its face.
Rows of white spots run along the fawn's warm caramel back, just where a real fawn carries them. Slender stems rise on either side, topped with little daisy-like flowers in blue, coral and white, and a scatter of tiny buds sits in the grass. Fine pencil-like lines pick out the fur, while the colour stays light and airy. Most of the sheet is left as warm off-white paper, so this baby deer nursery print feels open and peaceful on the wall. Like every design in the collection, it is original digital artwork by ITCLabStudio.
About Fawns
A fawn is a young deer in its first year. Many species, including white-tailed, roe and fallow deer, are born with a coat of pale spots that breaks up their outline in the dappled light of grass and leaves. In the first weeks the mother often leaves her fawn lying still and hidden while she feeds nearby, returning regularly to nurse it. The spots gradually fade as the fawn grows into its adult coat.
How to style it
Lovely in a soft woodland or meadow-themed nursery, a little girl's or boy's bedroom or a calm reading corner. Hang it beside the bunny and sleeping fox designs for a gentle forest trio. Explore the full Woodland & Safari Nursery Art collection.

Questions & answers
What colours are in the baby deer print?
Warm caramel and cream for the fawn, fresh sage green for the grass, and small accents of dusty blue and coral in the wildflowers and ears. The background is a warm off-white, so the print sits easily with neutral, green or blush nursery schemes.
Is the baby deer print a good baby shower gift?
Yes. A fawn is a classic symbol of gentleness and new life, and the soft, gender-neutral colours mean parents can hang it whether they are expecting a girl or a boy, or have chosen not to find out.
Is a frame included?
Only if you choose a framed format. The Natural Wood Frame and Black Metal Frame options arrive assembled with acrylic glazing and are ready to hang. The Unframed Art Print arrives without a frame, and the Aluminium and Wood Prints need no frame at all.
Which size should I choose?
As a rule of thumb, choose art about two-thirds the width of the furniture beneath it. 50 × 70 cm makes a statement above a sofa or bed, 30 × 40 cm suits shelves, desks and gallery walls. Our size guide shows every size to scale.
How is my print made and shipped?
Each print is made to order for you, then shipped with tracking from a production partner close to your address. You receive the tracking link by email as soon as your order leaves production.
