Vintage National Park Posters
Vintage National Park Posters brings together 22 original designs in the spirit of 1930s screen-print travel posters: flat bold shapes, crisp edges and a short palette of forest green, rust, ochre, teal, cream and navy. Travel from Zion, Yosemite, Yellowstone and the Great Smoky Mountains to Banff and Jasper in Canada, then on to Plitvice Lakes, Triglav, the Lake District and Peneda-Gerês in Europe. Every print names its park on a cream title band.
How to style national park posters
National park posters make a natural gallery wall of the places you have visited, or the ones still on your list. Hang three or four 30 × 40 cm prints in a row along a hallway or above a sofa, or build a grid of six to nine for a home office or stairway. A single 50 × 70 cm park becomes a focal point above a fireplace or bed. A natural wood frame brings out the warm rust and ochre tones and suits cabins and Scandinavian rooms, while black metal sharpens the graphic shapes in modern spaces. Keeping one frame style throughout ties a growing collection together.
Questions & answers
Are these official national park posters?
No. Every design is original artwork created by ITCLabStudio in the style of 1930s WPA-era screen-print travel posters. They are not official National Park Service, Parks Canada or park authority products, and they are not reproductions of historical posters.
Which national parks are available?
Twenty-two parks. In the United States: Zion, Yosemite, the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Arches, Glacier, Grand Teton, Rocky Mountain, Acadia, the Great Smoky Mountains, Bryce Canyon, Olympic and Mount Rainier among others; Banff and Jasper in Canada; and Plitvice Lakes, Triglav, the Lake District and Peneda-Gerês in Europe.
Do the posters show exact views of each park?
They are artistic interpretations. Each design gathers a park's best-known features, such as Half Dome in Yosemite, Old Faithful in Yellowstone or Delicate Arch in Arches, into one simplified poster scene, so details are stylised rather than mapped.
Are national park posters a good gift?
Yes. A poster of a park someone has hiked, camped in or dreams of visiting makes a personal gift for a birthday, retirement, graduation or new home, and adding a new park after each trip builds a lasting travel record.
