About this artwork
A white church with a terracotta-domed bell tower crowns the green hillside at the top of the frame. Below it, a row of whitewashed houses with red-tiled roofs, arched doors in red and blue, iron balconies and wall lamps looks out over a low stone sea wall and a few steps down to the shore.
The bay fills the lower half with small fishing boats, their hulls red, navy and cream, some with tiny cabins and thin masts, all tied up on calm blue water. A pale sandy beach curves along the left, edged by rounded boulders in rust, brown and olive, while rocks lead out towards the open sea on the right. The sky is warm sand with a single bank of cloud. This Cadaqués print is an original ITCLabStudio design with a 1930s art deco travel poster look, titled in navy capitals with Catalonia · Spain beneath.
About Cadaqués
Cadaqués is a whitewashed fishing village on the Cap de Creus peninsula, on Catalonia's Costa Brava in north-east Spain, close to the French border. Its narrow lanes climb to the Church of Santa Maria, which watches over the bay. Long reached only by a winding mountain road, the village drew artists and writers in the 20th century, above all Salvador Dalí, whose house at nearby Portlligat is now a museum. The Cap de Creus Natural Park includes the easternmost point of mainland Spain.
How to style it
Lovely in a kitchen, a bathroom or a coastal living room with whitewash, blue linen and rope or rattan details. It sits happily beside the Rovinj design as another harbour full of boats. Explore the full Vintage Travel Posters collection.

Yes. Below the artwork, a cream band carries Cadaqués in navy serif capitals, a thin terracotta rule and Catalonia · Spain in small letters, in the same layout as every design in the collection.
