About this artwork
A plump brown bear cub sits with its back legs stretched out in front, showing the soft pads of its feet, and tips its head back to look up and to the right. Its round ears, bright eyes and small upturned smile suggest it has spotted something interesting above, perhaps a bird, a bee or a falling leaf, and the open space at the top of the print leaves that to the imagination.
Warm brown fur, drawn in fine sketchy strokes, is washed with drifts of sage green and dusty blue on the body and a rosy terracotta blush on the cheek and chest. A pool of sage, blue and ochre colour spreads beneath the cub like soft ground. The result is a bear cub nursery print that brings warmth and wonder to a child's room, created by ITCLabStudio as original digital artwork.
About Brown Bear Cubs
Brown bears (Ursus arctos) live in forests, mountains and tundra across North America, Europe and Asia. Their cubs are born in midwinter inside a den, while the mother is in her winter sleep, and they emerge with her in spring. Cubs stay close to their mother for their first few years, learning where to find berries, roots, insects and fish. Young cubs are agile climbers and will scramble up trees when they sense danger.
How to style it
Warm and friendly in a woodland nursery, a toddler's bedroom or a playroom with natural wood and soft green tones. Pair it with the hot air balloon bear for a bear-themed duo, or with the fox and owl designs for a forest set. Explore the full Woodland & Safari Nursery Art collection.

Questions & answers
What is the bear cub looking at?
Nothing is shown, and that is the charm of it. The cub gazes up into the open space above, inviting children to imagine what it has spotted, whether a bird, a butterfly or the moon, which makes the print a nice prompt for bedtime stories.
Which other prints match the curious bear cub?
The woodland animals in the same collection pair naturally with it, especially the fox, owl and red squirrel. For a playful twist, the bear riding in a hot air balloon basket makes a sweet companion, as if the cub is watching it drift by.
Is a frame included?
Only if you choose a framed format. The Natural Wood Frame and Black Metal Frame options arrive assembled with acrylic glazing and are ready to hang. The Unframed Art Print arrives without a frame, and the Aluminium and Wood Prints need no frame at all.
Which size should I choose?
As a rule of thumb, choose art about two-thirds the width of the furniture beneath it. 50 × 70 cm makes a statement above a sofa or bed, 30 × 40 cm suits shelves, desks and gallery walls. Our size guide shows every size to scale.
How is my print made and shipped?
Each print is made to order for you, then shipped with tracking from a production partner close to your address. You receive the tracking link by email as soon as your order leaves production.
