About this artwork
Two tall Joshua trees frame this Joshua Tree National Park poster, their dark, shaggy trunks twisting upward into crooked arms, each arm tipped with a starburst of spiky green leaves that turn pale gold at the centre. Between them, five smaller Joshua trees stand scattered across the middle distance, each repeating that odd, upraised silhouette.
Behind them rises a great rounded dome of rust-orange rock, scored with darker vertical grooves, with soft teal hills tucked in on either side. The foreground is a jumble of smooth granite boulders in golden ochre and rust, finely speckled, and clumps of sharp green yucca leaves fan out from the gaps along the bottom edge. The sky burns in horizontal bands, hot pink at the top fading through orange and ochre to cream near the horizon. The flat colour and crisp edges belong to the 1930s screen-print travel poster tradition; the design itself is an original by ITCLabStudio, with Joshua Tree in dark green capitals on the cream band below.
About Joshua Tree National Park
Joshua Tree National Park lies in southern California, where two deserts meet: the higher, cooler Mojave and the lower Colorado Desert. It takes its name from the Joshua tree, a tree-like species of yucca that grows in the Mojave. Its landscape is scattered with huge piles of granite boulders, shaped by weathering over long ages and popular with rock climbers. First protected as a national monument in 1936, it became a national park in 1994 and is also known for its dark night skies.

Questions & answers
What are the trees in the Joshua Tree poster?
They are Joshua trees, a tree-like species of yucca found in the Mojave Desert. The design shows them with shaggy trunks and crooked arms tipped with spiky leaf clusters, the silhouette that gives the park its name.
Is this an official Joshua Tree National Park poster?
No. It is an original ITCLabStudio design in the style of vintage screen-print travel posters, created independently of the park. It is not an official souvenir and not a copy of a historical poster.
Is a frame included?
Only if you choose a framed format. The Natural Wood Frame and Black Metal Frame options arrive assembled with acrylic glazing and are ready to hang. The Unframed Art Print arrives without a frame, and the Aluminium and Wood Prints need no frame at all.
Which size should I choose?
As a rule of thumb, choose art about two-thirds the width of the furniture beneath it. 50 × 70 cm makes a statement above a sofa or bed, 30 × 40 cm suits shelves, desks and gallery walls. Our size guide shows every size to scale.
How is my print made and shipped?
Each print is made to order for you, then shipped with tracking from a production partner close to your address. You receive the tracking link by email as soon as your order leaves production.
