About this artwork
A bull elk dominates this Rocky Mountain National Park poster, standing side-on in a summer meadow with his head raised towards the stream. His great antlers branch wide against the forest, his coat is pale gold with a dark brown mane, and he stands knee-deep in flowers.
Wildflowers crowd the foreground in red, orange, yellow, white and blue, each bloom a simple flat shape. To the right, a clear stream tumbles over grey boulders in small white cascades. Beyond the meadow, dark green spruce and fir climb the valley sides towards rust-coloured cliffs, and a row of snowy peaks stands under a teal sky with two small cream clouds. The palette and crisp outlines recall 1930s screen-print travel posters, yet this is an original ITCLabStudio design, completed with a cream band reading Rocky Mountain, National Park · Colorado.
About Rocky Mountain National Park
Rocky Mountain National Park protects part of the Front Range in northern Colorado, with the town of Estes Park at its eastern edge. Established in 1915, it straddles the Continental Divide and is crossed by Trail Ridge Road, which climbs well above the tree line through alpine tundra. Elk are among its most visible residents, and in autumn the bulls' bugling calls echo across the meadows during the rut.
How to style it
Ideal for a cabin, a den or a living room with warm wood and plaid textiles. It pairs naturally with the Yellowstone bison and the Glacier mountain goat for a wildlife trio. Explore the full Vintage National Park Posters collection.

Questions & answers
What kind of animal is in the Rocky Mountain poster?
A bull elk, recognisable by his large branching antlers and dark neck mane. Elk are among the most frequently seen animals in Rocky Mountain National Park, often grazing in open meadows like the one shown here.
Is this an official Rocky Mountain National Park poster?
No. The poster is an original ITCLabStudio design, created independently in a vintage travel-poster style. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the park, and the scene is an artistic interpretation.
Is a frame included?
Only if you choose a framed format. The Natural Wood Frame and Black Metal Frame options arrive assembled with acrylic glazing and are ready to hang. The Unframed Art Print arrives without a frame, and the Aluminium and Wood Prints need no frame at all.
Which size should I choose?
As a rule of thumb, choose art about two-thirds the width of the furniture beneath it. 50 × 70 cm makes a statement above a sofa or bed, 30 × 40 cm suits shelves, desks and gallery walls. Our size guide shows every size to scale.
How is my print made and shipped?
Each print is made to order for you, then shipped with tracking from a production partner close to your address. You receive the tracking link by email as soon as your order leaves production.
