About this artwork
A mountain goat stands proudly on a rust-red rock ledge in the foreground of this Glacier National Park poster, its shaggy cream coat, short beard and curved horns turned towards the view. Below it, a lake of brilliant turquoise curves away between forested shores, its surface marked with fine ripples.
Behind the water rise jagged peaks in rust, red and deep navy, their gullies streaked with snow. Long olive and ochre slopes spill down towards a band of dark pine forest that rings the lake, and a few slim cream clouds cross a dusty teal sky. Tall spruces stand in the lower left, and tufts of grass sprout from the cracks in the ledge. It is an original design by ITCLabStudio, made in the flat-colour style of vintage WPA-era screen prints and finished with Glacier in dark green capitals over National Park · Montana.
About Glacier National Park
Glacier National Park covers a rugged stretch of the Rocky Mountains in north-western Montana, on the border with Canada. Established in 1910, it is known for glacier-carved valleys, turquoise lakes and the Going-to-the-Sun Road, which crosses the Continental Divide at Logan Pass. Together with Canada's Waterton Lakes National Park it forms the Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park. Mountain goats are often seen on its high cliffs and ledges, particularly around Logan Pass.
How to style it
Lovely in a cabin, a hallway or a bedroom with natural wood and cool blue-green accents. It pairs with the Banff and Jasper designs for a Rockies lakes wall on both sides of the border. Explore the full Vintage National Park Posters collection.

Questions & answers
What animal is in the Glacier poster?
A mountain goat. These sure-footed climbers live on the park's steep cliffs and ledges, and the design places one on a rocky outcrop above a turquoise lake, with the jagged peaks of the Rockies behind.
Was this poster made by the park?
No. It is an original ITCLabStudio artwork, created independently in a 1930s screen-print style, and is not an official Glacier National Park item. The lake and mountains are an artistic interpretation rather than one exact view.
Is a frame included?
Only if you choose a framed format. The Natural Wood Frame and Black Metal Frame options arrive assembled with acrylic glazing and are ready to hang. The Unframed Art Print arrives without a frame, and the Aluminium and Wood Prints need no frame at all.
Which size should I choose?
As a rule of thumb, choose art about two-thirds the width of the furniture beneath it. 50 × 70 cm makes a statement above a sofa or bed, 30 × 40 cm suits shelves, desks and gallery walls. Our size guide shows every size to scale.
How is my print made and shipped?
Each print is made to order for you, then shipped with tracking from a production partner close to your address. You receive the tracking link by email as soon as your order leaves production.
