About this artwork
Mount Rainier towers over the scene in a broad white cone, its snowfields broken by navy ridges of rock and pale teal shadows. Behind it the sky glows rust and gold, with puffs of cream cloud drifting at both edges.
Dark green forest wraps the lower slopes, and tall firs stand like sentries on either side of the frame. In the middle distance, a small alpine lake sits in a bowl of golden meadow, reflecting a deep blue. The foreground is a riot of wildflowers: spikes of purple lupine, violet daisies and red-orange blooms with yellow centres, all crowded together on slender green stems. The scene celebrates the short, vivid summer of the high meadows. This Mount Rainier poster is an original ITCLabStudio design made in the flat-colour style of 1930s travel posters, completed by a cream band with the mountain's name in dark green capitals.
About Mount Rainier
Mount Rainier is an active stratovolcano in the Cascade Range of Washington State, south-east of Seattle, and the most heavily glaciated peak in the contiguous United States. Mount Rainier National Park, established in 1899, protects the mountain and the old-growth forests and subalpine meadows around it. Areas such as Paradise and Sunrise are known for summer displays of wildflowers, including lupine, paintbrush and avalanche lilies, set against the snowy summit.

Questions & answers
Which flowers are in the Mount Rainier poster?
The meadow is filled with stylised purple lupine spikes, violet daisies and red-orange blooms. They are inspired by the subalpine wildflower meadows Mount Rainier is famous for in summer, rather than a botanical record of particular species.
Is the Mount Rainier poster an official park item?
No. It is original artwork designed by ITCLabStudio in a vintage travel-poster style, independent of the national park. It is not a reprint of a historical poster either.
Is a frame included?
Only if you choose a framed format. The Natural Wood Frame and Black Metal Frame options arrive assembled with acrylic glazing and are ready to hang. The Unframed Art Print arrives without a frame, and the Aluminium and Wood Prints need no frame at all.
Which size should I choose?
As a rule of thumb, choose art about two-thirds the width of the furniture beneath it. 50 × 70 cm makes a statement above a sofa or bed, 30 × 40 cm suits shelves, desks and gallery walls. Our size guide shows every size to scale.
How is my print made and shipped?
Each print is made to order for you, then shipped with tracking from a production partner close to your address. You receive the tracking link by email as soon as your order leaves production.
