About this artwork
Two colossal sequoia trunks rise from the bottom of the frame to the very top in this Sequoia National Park poster, their fibrous bark laid down in long strokes of rust, red-brown and deep navy. Between them, more giants stand further back, and a pale gold sun bursts through the canopy, sending broad rays of light down through the forest.
A cream path winds up the centre, curving back and forth until it disappears among dark green firs in the distance. On it walks a single hiker, seen from behind with a hat, a backpack and a walking stick, casting a long shadow across the path. The figure is tiny beside the trees, and that contrast is the heart of the design. Ferns and low plants edge the trail, and glimpses of teal sky show in the top corners. This original ITCLabStudio design takes its flat shapes and limited palette from 1930s screen-print travel posters, completed with Sequoia and National Park · California on its cream band.
About Sequoia National Park
Sequoia National Park lies on the western slopes of California's southern Sierra Nevada. Established in 1890, it is the second-oldest national park in the United States, created to protect groves of giant sequoias, among the largest living things on Earth. Its Giant Forest is home to the General Sherman Tree, widely recognised as the world's largest tree by volume. The park is managed together with neighbouring Kings Canyon National Park, and Mount Whitney stands on its eastern boundary.

Who is the figure in the Sequoia poster?
A lone hiker added for scale. Walking away down the winding path with a backpack and walking stick, the small figure shows just how vast the giant sequoias are, which is the feeling the design sets out to capture.
Is this an official Sequoia National Park poster?
No. It is an original ITCLabStudio artwork, created independently in the style of 1930s screen-print travel posters. It has no affiliation with the park, and the grove shown is an artistic interpretation rather than a particular trail.
Is a frame included?
Only if you choose a framed format. The Natural Wood Frame and Black Metal Frame options arrive assembled with acrylic glazing and are ready to hang. The Unframed Art Print arrives without a frame, and the Aluminium and Wood Prints need no frame at all.
Which size should I choose?
