About this artwork
A small stone church stands on the shore in this Triglav National Park poster, its bell tower topped with a dark spire and a slim cross, an arched wooden door set into its front wall. The walls are built from pale, irregular stones, and the whole building is mirrored upside down in the lake below.
The water is clear teal and green, dappled with ripples and edged by a line of rounded boulders. Behind the church, a pine-covered slope rises on the left, while the snowy Julian Alps fill the background, their faces lit rust and cream and their shadows in teal and green. The sky is split into two blocks of colour, ochre on the left and rust on the right, a graphic touch borrowed from 1930s screen-print posters. Tall golden conifers frame the church. This is an original ITCLabStudio design, finished with a cream band reading Triglav, National Park · Slovenia.
About Triglav and Lake Bohinj
Triglav National Park in north-western Slovenia is the country's only national park, covering much of the Julian Alps. It is named after Mount Triglav, Slovenia's highest peak, which also appears on the national coat of arms. At its heart lies Lake Bohinj, the largest permanent natural lake in Slovenia. On its eastern shore at Ribčev Laz stands the medieval Church of St John the Baptist, with its frescoes and bell tower overlooking the water.

Which church is in the Triglav poster?
The church is inspired by the Church of St John the Baptist on the shore of Lake Bohinj, a much-loved landmark in Triglav National Park. Its shape, setting and the surrounding peaks are simplified and stylised rather than shown as an exact likeness.
Is this an official Triglav National Park poster?
No. It is an original design created independently by ITCLabStudio in a vintage travel-poster style. It is not an official park or tourism board product, and not a reproduction of a historical poster.
Is a frame included?
Only if you choose a framed format. The Natural Wood Frame and Black Metal Frame options arrive assembled with acrylic glazing and are ready to hang. The Unframed Art Print arrives without a frame, and the Aluminium and Wood Prints need no frame at all.
Which size should I choose?
As a rule of thumb, choose art about two-thirds the width of the furniture beneath it. 50 × 70 cm makes a statement above a sofa or bed, 30 × 40 cm suits shelves, desks and gallery walls. Our size guide shows every size to scale.
