About this artwork
A row of lakeside houses runs across the middle of the frame in terracotta red, cream, slate blue and ochre, with red-tiled roofs, chimneys, shutters and small iron balconies. In their midst stands a white church with tall arched windows and a slim dark spire topped by a cross, the tallest line in the scene. A second, smaller tower with a red pointed roof rises on the right, and rounded trees sit between the buildings along a low stone quay.
Behind the village, steep slopes of dark conifers climb to pale grey cliffs and a distant peak under a golden sky. The lower half belongs to the lake, which mirrors houses, spire and mountains almost perfectly, broken only by a few soft ripples. Designed by ITCLabStudio, this Hallstatt print is an original take on the alpine travel posters of the 1930s, finished with Hallstatt in navy serif capitals and Austria on the cream band below.
About Hallstatt
Hallstatt is a small village on the western shore of Lake Hallstatt in the Salzkammergut region of Austria, squeezed between the water and steep mountains. Salt has been mined in the mountain above it since prehistoric times, and the village gave its name to the Hallstatt culture of the early Iron Age. Its lakeside view, with the slender spire of the Protestant church, is famous around the world. Hallstatt is part of the Hallstatt-Dachstein / Salzkammergut Cultural Landscape, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Which church is in the Hallstatt print?
The tall white church with the slim spire recalls Hallstatt's lakeside Protestant church, the landmark of the classic village view. The design simplifies the houses and church into flat art deco shapes rather than mapping every building exactly.
Does the Hallstatt print suit a minimalist room?

Is a frame included?
