About this artwork
Rovinj's waterfront curves across the frame in a row of tall houses in brick red, ochre, cream, slate blue and sage green, with shuttered windows, small balconies and white awnings over the ground floor. Behind them, the old town rises to a church with a red-tiled roof and a slender bell tower capped by a dark green spire, the highest point in the scene.
Along the stone quay, small boats lie at their moorings: cabin boats, rowing boats and a few sailboats with thin masts, tied to buoys on the smooth blue water. A pale headland and low cream clouds fill the distance, and the mood is unhurried, like early evening in harbour. ITCLabStudio drew this Rovinj print as an original tribute to 1930s art deco travel posters, with Rovinj in navy serif capitals and Croatia set beneath a fine terracotta rule.
About Rovinj
Rovinj is a fishing town on the west coast of the Istrian peninsula in Croatia, facing the Adriatic Sea. Its old town was once an island; the channel separating it from the mainland was filled in during the 18th century. The skyline is crowned by the Church of St Euphemia, whose bell tower is modelled on the campanile of St Mark's in Venice and topped by a statue of the saint that turns with the wind. The town is officially bilingual, and its Italian name is Rovigno.

Is the bell tower in the Rovinj print St Euphemia's?
It is a stylised take on it. Rovinj's skyline is defined by the tall bell tower of the Church of St Euphemia, and the design gives its own interpretation, with a green spire and terracotta stonework, rather than an exact architectural copy.
What does the Rovinj print pair well with?
It pairs naturally with the Kotor design for an Adriatic duo, or with Manarola and Cadaqués for a wider set of harbour villages. All share the same cream band, navy lettering and warm palette, so they hang together neatly.
Is a frame included?
Only if you choose a framed format. The Natural Wood Frame and Black Metal Frame options arrive assembled with acrylic glazing and are ready to hang. The Unframed Art Print arrives without a frame, and the Aluminium and Wood Prints need no frame at all.
Which size should I choose?
