About this artwork
A young sea turtle glides diagonally upward through the water, front flippers sweeping wide and head lifted as it swims towards the top right of the print. Its big, dark, round eye and softly curved mouth give it a calm, curious expression. Tiny bubbles of different sizes float around it, the only sign of the sea.
The shell is a smooth dome of sage green, its plates outlined in pale cream lines and edged with a warm sand rim. Head and flippers are covered in a mosaic of little scales in dusty blue, terracotta and sand, each one outlined in fine ink. With no seabed or waves drawn in, the turtle seems to drift in open water across the warm off-white paper. Created by ITCLabStudio as original digital artwork, this sea turtle nursery print is a serene choice for ocean-loving families.
About Sea Turtles
Sea turtles are reptiles that live in warm and temperate oceans around the world. Unlike many land turtles, they cannot pull their heads or flippers into their shells. Females return to sandy beaches to dig nests and lay their eggs, and when the hatchlings emerge they scramble down the beach to the sea, usually at night. The green sea turtle is named not for its shell but for the greenish colour of its body fat, which comes from its diet of seagrass and algae.
How to style it
Ideal for an ocean or under-the-sea nursery, a coastal-style kids' room or a family bathroom with blue and sand tones. Pair it with the octopus and seal pup designs for an ocean gallery wall. Explore the full Woodland & Safari Nursery Art collection.

Questions & answers
Does the sea turtle print suit an ocean-themed nursery?
Yes. The bubbles, dusty blue scales and sage shell make it a natural centrepiece for an under-the-sea or coastal nursery, and it pairs with the octopus, seal and polar bear designs from the same collection.
Is the sea turtle a specific species?
It is a stylised young sea turtle rather than an exact species portrait. Its smooth green shell and scaled flippers recall the green sea turtle, softened with sand, terracotta and dusty blue to match the collection.
Is a frame included?
Only if you choose a framed format. The Natural Wood Frame and Black Metal Frame options arrive assembled with acrylic glazing and are ready to hang. The Unframed Art Print arrives without a frame, and the Aluminium and Wood Prints need no frame at all.
Which size should I choose?
As a rule of thumb, choose art about two-thirds the width of the furniture beneath it. 50 × 70 cm makes a statement above a sofa or bed, 30 × 40 cm suits shelves, desks and gallery walls. Our size guide shows every size to scale.
How is my print made and shipped?
Each print is made to order for you, then shipped with tracking from a production partner close to your address. You receive the tracking link by email as soon as your order leaves production.
